Butler Homeless Initiative
BHI offers a hot meal, shelter, toiletries, a shower voucher at the local YMCA, the use of a laundry facility, and the friendly support of an experienced staff to anyone reaching out to BHI for homeless services.

4 rooms: 1 for a single woman, 3 family sized (a woman and 2 kids). The safe house also hosts a domestic violence support group, Tuesdays at 6:30 pm.

St. Anthony Family Shelter
St. Anthony provides families with basic needs, assistance and support so they may gain stable housing, receive assistance with employment, and education on financial literacy, parenting and other life skills. The goal is for families to move out of shelter into housing which they can afford and sustain for a long period of time.

Union Rescue Mission

Augusta Community Caring Center
Augusta households can also request up to $100 annually towards utilities. Assistance with utilities is based on the funds the Caring Center has available at the time of request. Proof of residency needed.

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
Families can only get TANF for 24 months in a lifetime. You may not use your cash benefits to purchase alcohol, cigarettes, tobacco products, lottery tickets, concert tickets, professional or collegiate sporting event tickets or tickets for other entertainment events intended for the general public.
